and that that scenario MIGHT damage the mainboard, and that in that case i should change the mainboard with a new one, and that will not be covered by the guarantee, since i was the one that decided to install other OS.
So in the case that i decide to uninstall win 8 and install win7, there might be a possibility of system corruption, where the mainboard will try to read the windows 8 license, meanwhile there is another OS on the computer. The Customer Support at Dell told me that i should be careful about doing that, because this computers have a characteristic in which the Windows 8 code or License, is 'embedded' somehow in the MainBoard, where as other operating systems come with the license separatedly (she told me that on other OS you have a sticker with the windows license). (I need windows 7 because my programs are more compatible on 7, for example 3ds Max 2012., etc)
Hi, i just called DELL to ask which things do i have to take into consideration before i uninstall the Windows 8 OS that came with my XPS 8500, in order to install windows 7.
